Tender Root Farms was a freelance design project for a New Jersey-based microgreens farm. Microgreens are vegetable greens harvested just after the cotyledon leaves have developed. They are grown for nutrition or used as both a visual and flavor component to a meal, primarily used by fine dining restaurants. The client's intentions were to sell these products to restaurants in the New York and Philadelphia areas. The design needed to be simple, yet elegant. I decided to go with a minimalist approach, basing the design around a simple sunflower microgreen illustration.
